Why ONETWENTI?

Why ONETWENTI?

There's one question we get asked more than any other.

Why ONETWENTI?

The answer actually starts with our daughter, Harriet.

As parents, there was one thing we always wanted her to understand.

The result doesn't define you. The effort does.

So before training, before matches, and whenever she needed reminding, we'd tell her:

"Just make sure you give it 120."

Not because we expected her to score goals.

Not because we expected her team to win.

Because the result isn't always in your control.

Effort is.

Of course, giving 120% isn't technically possible.

But that's never really been the point.

For us, giving 120 means finding something extra when you think you've already given everything you've got.

One more sprint.

One more run.

One more bit of belief when it would be easier to stop.

That's the extra 20%.

It's a mindset that's helped Harriet through football, but also through some of the challenges life has thrown her way.

Times when giving up would have been easier.

Times when she had to dig deep and keep moving forward.

The more we watched her, the more we realised that giving 120 wasn't really about football at all.

And the more we thought about it, the more we realised it reflected something much bigger than football.

We see it in the players who spend hours in the garden practising.

In the girls kicking a ball around the park with their friends.

In the parents driving to training sessions and matches.

In the coaches giving up their evenings to help players improve.

Because sometimes the difference isn't talent.

Sometimes it's simply refusing to stop.

Putting in the extra work when nobody is watching.

Finding time for one more session.

One more kick of the ball.

Because hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard enough.

Then there's the football connection.

Think about a cup game.

When a match can't be decided after 90 minutes, it goes to extra time.

120 minutes.

In fact, think back to the Lionesses' incredible run at the Women's Euros.

Three of England's knockout games went to 120 minutes.

When the game demanded more, they found more.

When most people would have been running on empty, they kept going.

The determination to give more than expected was there for everyone to see.

For us, that's what ONETWENTI represents.

Finding that little bit extra when it matters most.

That's why we're called ONETWENTI.

Because when you've truly given everything you've got, the result almost becomes secondary.

Win or lose, you know you couldn't have given any more.

You can walk off the pitch with your head held high.

Not because of the scoreline.

Because of the effort.

That's what giving 120 is all about.

And that's why you'll be proud to wear ONETWENTI.

Because whether you're a player, parent or coach, the message remains the same.

Just make sure you give it 120.
